As we gear up for winter, we’ve learned a thing or two from these past seasons of snow. While we were the only company in the Fraser Valley that didn’t run out of salt during the snowstorms of recent years, we’ve decided that we’re going to continue to challenge ourselves to live up to our motto: always be prepared!
We’re pleased to announce that we’ve increased our deicing storage capacity to 120 tons on site. As the number of clients we service continues to grow each year, we want to be sure that there’s plenty of salt to last us through even the harshest of winters.
This seems like as good a time as any to announce that, beginning in 2019, TBO’s Snow & Ice Management will be importing 30,000 tonnes of salt from Egypt. Can you picture what 30 tonnes of salt looks like? 30,000 tonnes of salt is the equivalent of 1.5 acres at 15 feet of height!
